TarryHouse rules
Tarry is for people you actually know. Treat everyone here like a guest on your porch. By using Tarry, you agree to these rules.
The short version
- Be real. Use your own account, one per person. You must be at least 13.
- Be kind. Disagree all you like, but don't be cruel.
- Keep it legal. Only share what you have the right to share.
Not allowed
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or stalking.
- Hate aimed at people for who they are: race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or similar.
- Sexual content involving minors. This is reported to the authorities.
- Nudity or sexual content, and sharing anyone's intimate images without consent.
- Graphic violence or gore, or encouraging self-harm.
- Spam, scams, selling, chain letters, or advertising.
- Pretending to be someone else, or fake accounts.
- Sharing someone's private information (address, phone, documents) without permission.
- Anything illegal, including posting photos or work you don't have the right to share.
- Trying to break, overload, or sneak around how Tarry works.
If you see something wrong
Tap the small flag on any post or comment to report it. Reports go privately to Tarry's moderator, and the person won't know who sent it. You can also unfriend anyone, delete comments on your own page, or turn off guest posts in Settings.
What happens when rules are broken
We may remove posts, comments, or photos, and we may suspend or close accounts, with or without warning, depending on how serious it is. Illegal content may be reported to the authorities.
Your stuff
You own what you post. You give Tarry permission to store it and show it to the people you've chosen to share with — nothing more. See Privacy for exactly what we keep.
The fine print
- Tarry is a small project offered as-is. We try hard to keep it running and your data safe, but can't promise it will never go down or lose something.
- You're responsible for what you post. Tarry isn't responsible for what other members post.
- You can stop using Tarry anytime. We can change or end the service, and we'll update these rules with a new date below if they change in a way that matters.
